Yin Yoga
Introduction
Yin Yoga is classed as a slow paced style of Yoga, holding the postures for longer periods of time. Yin focuses on the connective tissues rather than the muscles. Yin involves a more meditative approach, focusing on inner awareness and stillness. Poses are held for an extended duration. Yin targets the connective tissues which aims to improve flexibility and increase circulation in the joints. Yin is taught as a complement towards other forms of active Yoga and intense exercise to help promote performance.
